Video: Former Head of Davtashen Administrative District Embezzles Funds Through Deception

Based on information received by the Corruption and Economic Crimes Prevention Department of the Police, evidence has been gathered indicating that the former head of the Davtashen administrative district, who served from 2012 to 2018, simultaneously held the position of chairman of the board of trustees of the "Davtashen" charitable foundation and was effectively managing the financial resources of the foundation.

With the intent to commit theft, he allegedly conspired with the former head of the administrative district staff and the director of the aforementioned charitable foundation, allowing them to commit illegal acts.

According to current investigative data, on the basis of oral instructions from the former head of the administrative district, false documents were created and signed regarding the provision of financial assistance to various employees of the community hall and residents of the administrative district. As a result, more than 9,000,000 drams were embezzled between 2012 and 2014.

A criminal case has been initiated at the police station, and it has been forwarded to the investigative committee for preliminary investigation. Operational investigative measures are ongoing.
