Çavuşoğlu on the Adoption of the Armenian Genocide Resolution
Ankara condemns the adoption of a resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide by the U.S. House of Representatives, linking it to the Turkish forces’ "Operation Peace Spring" conducted in northern Syria.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu wrote on the microblogging platform Twitter: “Those whose plans have failed resort to outdated resolutions. The frameworks that believe they can take revenge this way are mistaken. This disgraceful decision to use history for political purposes is worthless to our government and our people.”
