‘Dirty manipulation results’ – Zaruhi Batoyan on removing elderly patients from ‘Gyumri Home for the Elderly’

Information that elderly residents of the ‘Gyumri Home for the Elderly’ State Non-Commercial Organization will be removed from the care home is a result of dirty manipulation and does not reflect reality. This was stated by the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia, Zaruhi Batoyan, on her Facebook page.

The services provided at the 'Gyumri Home for the Elderly' will be delegated to a charitable organization. This means that care will be organized for the same people in the same place, with the involvement of new investments.

During a prior meeting with the staff of the State Non-Commercial Organization, the Deputy Minister informed that a condition will be set for the selected organization to prioritize the employment of existing staff from the organization.

We will continue reforms for the sake of our grandmothers and grandfathers, and those who pursue personal interests in this matter will be treated accordingly by law.
