Water Withdrawal from Lake Sevan Resumes Today
The water withdrawal from Lake Sevan will not exceed the legally established volume of 170 million cubic meters this year. According to EcoLur, the withdrawal from the lake began on October 15.
As of October 17, a total of 141.833 million cubic meters of water has been released from Sevan. On the same day, 152.504 million cubic meters of water flowed into the lake via the Arpa-Sevan canal.
The source reminds that the water withdrawal from Lake Sevan was halted on September 25. By that date, a total of 140.954 million cubic meters of water had been released from the lake.
As of October 18, the water level of Lake Sevan stands at 1900.55 meters, which is 5 centimeters higher than the same day last year, which recorded 1900.50 meters.
