Turkey Resumes Military Operations in Syria
On October 18, the Turkish army resumed its assaults on the northeastern Syrian city of Ras al-Ain, despite a previously announced ceasefire, reports Al Mayadeen citing Kurdish sources.
According to the Syrian state news agency SANA, Turkish forces have conducted artillery attacks on several villages near Ras al-Ain. Al Arabiya TV also reported that a humanitarian convoy belonging to Syrian armed groups came under attack.
Earlier, Reuters reported that shelling and clashes had resumed in the city, with gunfire being heard. Turkish authorities have not yet commented on this information.
