Inmate Dies at Armavir Prison

On October 18, 2019, around 03:00, Nerses Hakobyan (born in 1965), an inmate at the Armavir Penitentiary of the Republic of Armenia, experienced a sudden deterioration in his health condition. As a result, emergency medical services were immediately called, and at 03:40, the inmate's biological death was officially recorded.

The Penal Service of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia has reported that materials are being prepared regarding the incident, and a forensic examination has been appointed.
