Dmitry Peskov Awaits Information from Turkey

Russia expects to receive additional information regarding the Turkish-American agreement to temporarily halt military operations in Syria. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia.

The US and Turkey had agreed to establish a 120-hour ceasefire regime in northeastern Syria, during which Kurdish militants are to withdraw from the east of the Euphrates.

On October 9, the Turkish armed forces invaded Syria under the name of the military operation 'Peace Spring' against the Kurds, following the withdrawal of US armed units from the eastern part of the Euphrates River.
