Fire in the Area of Dilijan National Park SNCO

On October 17, at 10:57 AM, the "911" service received information that a grassland area was burning in the territory of the first division of the Dilijan National Park SNCO in Tavush Province. A firefighting unit and an operational group from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were dispatched to the scene.

The fire was contained by 4:10 PM and extinguished by 5:47 PM. Approximately 15 hectares of forested area were burned, including stumps of 60 trees and 20 walnut trees were charred.

Two employees from the Dilijan National Park SNCO and two water tankers participated in the firefighting efforts.
