Judge Felix Tokhyan Removed from Slavonian University
According to the newspaper 'Pasta', Judge Felix Tokhyan of the Constitutional Court has been dismissed from his position as the head of the Constitutional Law Department at the Armenian-Russian (Slavonian) University.
University sources claim that the basis for Tokhyan's dismissal were student complaints, his regular absences from classes, as well as several other factors that are deemed confidential.
Arthur Ghambaryan has been appointed as the new head of the department.
The university's rectorate will also discuss the termination of Tokhyan's teaching activities, as it is reported that he will be dismissed from the Slavonian University in the coming days.
According to Darbinyan, the mechanism chosen at the university is that department heads should not have other engagements but should be fully involved in the university's operations. Given that Tokhyan is a member of the Constitutional Court, this decision also applies to him.
Further details can be found in today's issue of the newspaper.
