Incidents of Thefts from Car Interiors Discovered

The investigation by the Investigative Committee of Armenia's Yerevan branches of Ajapnyak and Davtashen has concluded regarding a criminal case initiated for the secret theft of someone else's property. Two residents of Yerevan, born in 1979 and 1985, have been charged. This was reported by the Investigative Committee.

According to the data obtained during the investigation, the two Yerevan residents, aged 39 and 34, had come to a preliminary agreement to steal someone else's property and unlawfully entered the interiors of cars parked in the yards of Bashinjaghyan and Leningradyan streets in Yerevan during July-August 2019. They stole gas cylinders, money, and various items of different values, causing significant property damage to the citizens.

Additionally, on August 25, 2019, at approximately 3:00 AM, the aforementioned individuals tried to break into the interior of a car parked on Leningradyan street by shattering the small rear window but were unable to complete the crime as they were discovered and detained by the Mashtots Police Station.

Based on the collected evidence, the man born in 1979 has been charged under the Criminal Code of Armenia, Articles 177, Part 2, Points 1 and 3 /2 episodes/, Article 177, Part 2, Point 1, and Article 34-177, Part 2, Points 1 and 3, while the man born in 1985 has been charged under the same articles, resultantly. As a preventive measure, the measure of signature not to leave has been chosen for them.

The investigation has concluded, and the criminal case has been forwarded to the prosecutor overseeing the legality of the preliminary investigation with an accusatory conclusion.
