Armenian Families Relocated from Tal Abyad to Aleppo are in Safe Conditions: Zareh Sinanyan
The Head of the Commission on Diaspora Affairs, Zareh Sinanyan, had a phone conversation a short while ago with the Consul General of Armenia in Aleppo, Armen Sargsyan.
According to the latest information provided by the commission's office, there are currently no active military operations in Qamishli, and the markets and shops are operational; however, schools remain closed for security reasons.
“Our compatriots in Qamishli do not see the need to leave their residences at this time; however, if there are individuals who decide to come to Armenia, the state is ready to welcome them with open arms. The Armenian families relocated from Tal Abyad to Aleppo are in safe conditions. They are expected to meet with the consul today, during which it is likely that Head Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan will establish phone contact with them,” the office indicated.
