Artsakh's Foreign Minister and ICRC Mission Head Discuss Fate of Soldier Detained in Azerbaijan
Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh, Masis Mayilyan, received the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) mission in Stepanakert, Pierre-Emmanuel Ducroux.
The meeting involved an exchange of opinions regarding the fate of Artsakh Defense Army serviceman Arayik Ghazaryan, who has been found in Azerbaijani territory under still unclear circumstances. In this context, the necessity of adhering to international humanitarian law by the parties involved in the conflict was emphasized.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest. The head of the foreign affairs agency highlighted the importance of continuing existing cooperation and affirmed the readiness of the Artsakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs to support the activities of the Red Cross as much as possible.
