Washington Is Waiting in Vain for a Call from Iran: Tehran
Washington is waiting in vain for a call from Iranian authorities, stated Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Abbas Mousavi, as reported by РИА Новости. Earlier, U.S. State Department spokesperson Morgan Ortagus said that if Iranian authorities wish to negotiate with the U.S., then Donald Trump is "waiting for their call."
"They have been waiting for this from Iran for a long time, but waiting is pointless," Mousavi wrote on his Telegram channel. He noted that Iran cannot create an illusion of negotiation when international law and norms are not being upheld, while the U.S. is applying pressure on Iran through economic terrorism.
