Ukrainians Ask Vladimir Zelensky to Make the Dollar National Currency

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has received a petition from citizens of the country requesting the dollar be made the national currency. This was reported by TASS.

The authors of the petition are asking the country's leader to replace the hryvnia with a more stable currency. In their opinion, that is the US dollar.

Economists note that the exchange rate of Ukraine's currency is dependent on domestic political events. It has been reported that since 2014, the hryvnia has depreciated by 93 percent.
