Rustam Badasyan Invites Various Professionals to Lunch: What Is His 'Concern'?
According to the newspaper 'Haykakan Jamanak', representatives of the government, especially the Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan, have recently been meeting with various professionals in the field and urging them to speak positively about the Istanbul Convention.
Our sources indicate that Badasyan has been inviting such individuals to lunch in recent days, attempting to persuade them during these gatherings. Furthermore, we have learned that the minister encourages his interlocutors to present only favorable characterizations of the convention to officials and parliamentarians in their circles who will be voting on the draft convention in the parliament.
'Haykakan Jamanak' tried to clarify the information regarding the minister's meetings from the press and public relations department of the Ministry of Justice; however, they denied the information, stating that such a thing does not exist.
