Azerbaijan Denounces Construction of New Road Connecting Kapan and Hadrut as Provocation
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has issued a statement regarding the construction of a new road connecting Kapan and Hadrut, expressing its outrage. Baku considers the road construction to be a 'provocation' by Armenia aimed at reinforcing the status quo.
“Despite creating favorable conditions for conflict resolution, Armenia, hiding behind the ceasefire regime, continues its illegal actions in a destructive manner, and this is simply another provocation to disrupt the negotiation process,” the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry stated.
The statement also mentions that Azerbaijan reserves the right to 'respond adequately to such provocative actions.'
It should be noted that Armenia and Artsakh will be connected by a different road junction.
