Soldier Refuses to Return to Barracks After Leave
On June 30, an emergency incident occurred in Yerevan. According to Shamshyan.com, 19-year-old Narek S. from the Ajapnyak administrative district received a legal leave from military service and returned home. Today, his leave period has ended, and he was supposed to return to his barracks. However, he refused to go back, informing his parents that he would end his life if he returned to the barracks.
The soldier's relatives alerted law enforcement agencies, prompting a response from a psychological support team of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Following the psychologist's intervention, the soldier agreed not to take extreme measures, after which he was transported to the Muratsan Military Hospital. After spending some time there, officers from the Military Police of the Ministry of Defense arrived, and he was transferred to Kanaz Hospital under their escort.
At this moment, he is under medical supervision, while the military police are investigating the matter to uncover the truth and determine whether the soldier faced pressures in the barracks.
