“We are not homeless; so what if our belongings were thrown out? We are families, are they playing games with 28 families?” said one of the residents who spent the night in front of the government building in a conversation with NEWS.am on June 27.

According to him, the children have fallen ill from sleeping outside, yet no decent solution to their problems has been offered. “They say pay a month’s rent for a house and leave. It won’t work like that; what will we do in a month? We are unable to pay,” he added. “At this hour, children should be clean and sleeping in their own places, not spending the night on the street,” the resident stated.

Another resident expressed determination not to tolerate this indifference and is ready to take extreme measures. “I brought these nails to hammer my feet if they do not resolve our issue,” the resident said.
