Body of Missing 79-Year-Old Man Found in Artashat Canal
Today, May 7, an extraordinary incident occurred in the Ararat region. Around 11:00 AM, the mayor of the village of Jrashen, Artyom Ghazaryan, reported to the Artashat police department that a man's body had been found in the main Artashat canal.
According to shamshyan.com, emergency service firefighters retrieved the body from the canal using ropes.
Locals gathered at the scene identified the deceased as 79-year-old Shahen Gabulyan, who had been reported missing by the Shengavit police department.
By the investigator's order, a forensic examination of the body has been initiated, and Armen Gevorgyan, head of the Ararat regional forensic department, is currently conducting the examination.
Preliminary information indicates that there are no signs of violence on the body.
