Shots Fired in Yerevan

On May 5, around 06:00, while a police officer of the 3rd special battalion of the Yerevan city police was near a karaoke club on Khorenatsi Street, he heard the sound of gunshots from a moving vehicle marked 'VAZ-21014'.

The police reported that around 06:30, two individuals were detained on Arghishti Street on suspicion of gross violations of public order, and for illegal possession and use of firearms. The suspects, born in 1994, Hamlet K., and in 1983, Gulnara A., were taken to the Erebuni police station.

Gulnara A. presented a 9 mm caliber gas pistol of the 'Browning' type, belonging to Hamlet K., with a magazine and 4 cartridges (with a permit).

A forensic examination has been appointed.
