Tensions Rise Between Prime Minister and Chief of Staff: 'Fact' Newspaper

The newspaper 'Fact' reports that the atmosphere within the government staff is not peaceful, particularly given that this institution has been in the public spotlight multiple times recently, mostly due to quite scandalous subjects. According to sources, the relationship between Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Chief of Staff Eduard Aghajanyan has become quite strained. This past Friday, Pashinyan even demanded that Aghajanyan submit his resignation due to mistakes made, particularly two major blunders.

It is noteworthy that three key and long-serving employees—Margaryta Azaryan, Artur Sargsyan, and Amalya Yengoyan—were dismissed from their positions. There are opinions that this termination was a result of Aghajanyan’s inadequate coordination of work. The same sources claim that the issue was intervened by National Assembly President Ararat Mirzoyan, who convinced the Prime Minister that such extreme measures should not be taken 'to avoid giving others a reason to speak unnecessarily'. Mirzoyan's conciliatory initiative seems to have yielded results, at least for now,” the newspaper writes.
