The U.S. Has Invited the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan to Meet in Washington: Mamedyarov
The United States has offered to host the next meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington concerning the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. This was reported by РИА Новости.
“The last meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia took place in Moscow at the initiative of my Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov. With a doubling and tripling of efforts, we can hope for progress in resolving the conflict in cooperation with Russia... Yesterday we received an invitation from the U.S. to visit Washington, where the Secretary of State will also make efforts to achieve progress in resolving the conflict,” Mamedyarov stated during a press briefing in Warsaw.
It is noteworthy that the last meeting between Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov took place on April 15 in Moscow, with the participation of Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group.
