The newspaper "Iravunk" reports: "According to the information from "Iravunk," the draft law on amendments to the Republic of Armenia's law on gambling authored by Deputy Speaker Alen Simonian (which stipulates that gambling can be organized only through a casino and automated devices in the cities of Tsaghkadzor, Sevan, Jermuk, and Meghri) is not coincidental. According to circulating rumors, Mr. Simonian is attempting to clear the way for certain businessmen who have walked during the revolution to enter the field with this project.

It is worth mentioning that after the implementation of the mentioned draft law, hundreds of citizens working in various similar centers will face unemployment.

According to sources, individuals employed at such gambling venues are awaiting the government's position: "If the government decides that Alen Simonian's draft should be approved, it means we will be left unemployed. In that case, we will take to the streets and raise our voices in protest. It was the governor who taught us how to defend our rights in the streets," a citizen who contacted the editorial office told us in an interview.
