Refund Program Returns Substantial Amounts to Pensioners and Beneficiaries: New Data
The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs reports that as of April, approximately 531,038 pensioners and beneficiaries have taken advantage of the 20% refund program for pensions and benefits. The average refund amount has been 8,080 drams.
Since the launch of the program, cashless transactions amounting to about 445.8 billion drams have been made using pension cards, while beneficiaries have received around 47.6 billion drams in refunds.
It is worth reminding that citizens conducting cashless transactions with pension and benefit cards are entitled to a 20% refund, up to a maximum of 10,000 drams.
The refund is automatically generated and transferred when transactions are made at trade points and service-providing organizations operating in the Republic of Armenia using payment cards and accepting payments.
