Our Approach to Terrorists Will Be Deterrent. Protesters Face Death Penalty, Says Tehran Prosecutor
In Iran, participants in unrest and riots may face the death penalty. This statement was made by the Tehran prosecutor. “Our approach to terrorists will be deterrent, and their punishment will be war against the state (the death penalty according to Iranian legislation),” said the Tehran prosecutor.
It should be added that protests in Iran began at the end of December 2025 due to the depreciation of the local currency, the Iranian rial. Currently, mass unrest and protests continue in Iran.
