Maduro and His Wife Transferred to New York Court
The Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife have been transferred to a court in New York following their arrest by U.S. forces. Fox News footage shows them boarding a helicopter under heavy security to be taken to the courthouse.
The hearing is scheduled for 9:00 PM local time in Yerevan. It is worth noting that U.S. special forces conducted a raid in Venezuela on January 3, resulting in the arrest of President Maduro and his wife.
According to ABC News, Maduro is expected to appear at the federal court in Manhattan on Monday. He is anticipated to face charges related to the illegal drug trade, which could result in multiple life sentences. On Saturday, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the United States would temporarily take over the administration of Venezuela.
