Khamenei Prepares Escape Plan to Moscow: The Times
According to the British newspaper The Times, Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has developed an escape plan to Moscow should protests in the country spiral out of control.
The article states that intelligence agencies from the United States and Great Britain believe such a scenario is being considered as an emergency measure in case of an escalation in the domestic political situation.
It is noted that the ongoing social and political tensions in Iran compel the leadership to calculate even more extreme developments.
The Times asserts that the potential escape route is being considered specifically towards Moscow, given the political and strategic ties that have formed between Iran and Russia in recent years.
