Attention: New Rules for Entering Georgia Effective January 1
The State Revenue Committee announces that, according to information received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, starting January 1, 2026, every tourist entering Georgia will be required to present a document confirming health and accident insurance at the border crossing, either in physical or electronic form.
The document must be in Georgian or English. It can be provided by both Georgian and foreign insurance companies and must have a minimum coverage of 30,000 lari.

- Start and end dates of the insurance,
- Insured risks,
- Insurance amount limit,
- Amount of the insurance payment, place, and deadline for payment.
