Parliamentary Hearings in the National Assembly: No Government Representatives Present
Today, on November 26, parliamentary hearings titled "On the Political Prisoners in the Republic of Armenia and the Restoration of Their Violated Rights" have commenced in the National Assembly of Armenia. The initiative was launched by the "Armenia" faction of the Assembly.
No representatives from the government or executive body are attending the hearings. The day before, the Prosecutor General's office announced that Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan would not be able to participate due to her workload.
Photos of political prisoners have been placed on the members' tables in the Assembly hall.
