No country that respects itself ever acts under pressure, says Putin
No country that respects itself ever acts under pressure, and the new U.S. sanctions are an attempt to exert pressure on Russia. This was stated by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, during a press conference.
Speaking about the postponement of the meeting with Trump, he emphasized that it would be a mistake to approach the Budapest summit unprepared.
Putin noted that the global energy balance is established, and disrupting it does not serve the interests of countries that attempt to do so. It is impossible to replace all Russian oil available in the global market. Only a portion can be replaced, but that requires time and significant investment.
“The Russian energy sector is confident, despite certain losses due to sanctions,” said Putin.
