Chinese President Sends Secret Letter to India, Reports Bloomberg
Following the imposition of tariffs on Chinese goods by the United States, Chinese President Xi Jinping has sent a secret letter to Indian President Droupadi Murmu, as reported by Bloomberg, citing an Indian official familiar with the matter.
According to the source, the letter was aimed at improving relations between China and India. In the correspondence, the Chinese President expressed concerns regarding transactions with the United States that could harm China's interests. The source also indicated that the message reached Prime Minister Modi.
Shortly after the letter was sent, Beijing released a statement from the Chinese leader praising the China-India relationship. An Indian official also stated that the government has begun efforts to improve relations with China.
