Businesses that built flower greenhouses with state support are struggling
Florists continue to protest. Since June 27, the export of flowers from Armenia to Russia has been banned. Yesterday, greenhouse owners from the Zvartnots community in the Armavir region laid flowers on the Yerevan-Armavir highway, stating that they are no longer suitable for sale or export.
Earlier in June, representatives from the Ministry of Economy had met with the greenhouse owners, promising to resolve the issue promptly. However, today the greenhouse owners were again at the State Food Safety Inspection Body (SFSIB) for a meeting with the authorities. They demand a clarification from the government on why the Russian side has banned Armenian flowers from entering Russia.
