Earthquake in Armenia
On March 24, at 15:37 local time (11:37 GMT), the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.6 at geographic coordinates 40.90°N and 44.28°E, located 8 km north of the town of Spitak, at a depth of 10 km. This information was reported by the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The intensity of the underground tremor in the epicentral zone was measured at 3-4 on the Richter scale. The earthquake was felt in the city of Spitak, as well as in the villages of Shenavan, Arevashogh, and Karadzor in the Lori region, registering a magnitude of 3.
