Three Payment Options Offered to Passengers in Public Transport
In Yerevan's public transport, passengers are now offered three payment options: tickets via QR code, 100 dram coins, and now also bank cards. This information is reported by the Yerevan municipality.
Starting January 1, when transitioning to a unified ticketing system, approximately 550,000 citizens utilizing public transport will receive fare privileges, while several other groups will travel for free.
Alongside the reforms in the payment system, there will also be an increase in the number of vehicles. Yerevan residents are already benefiting from 15 new trolleybuses, and the introduction of 171 bus routes is in the planning phase.
