Bus Drivers' Strike to Continue
Bus drivers' strike in Yerevan will continue tomorrow as well. This was stated by one of the strikers after a meeting with the director of 'Yerevan Bus' LLC.
“We will continue the strike until the issue of the dismissed drivers is resolved, the working conditions are reviewed, and salaries are increased. The management has promised to discuss the issue of the dismissed drivers if the rest work tomorrow,” declared one of the strikers.
It is reminded that from early this morning, bus drivers in Yerevan have begun their strike. They demand a salary increase. The unexpected strike by bus drivers has been addressed by the spokesperson of the Yerevan mayor, Hayk Kostanyan, who informed that they will refer to the relevant authorities to ensure proper legal assessment of these actions.
It is noteworthy that today 35 drivers were dismissed from their jobs.
