VIDEO: Alexis Ohanian Showcases Rare Armenian Coin Featuring Tigran the Great
Armenian-American entrepreneur Alexis Ohanian has posted a video on his X page showcasing a coin featuring the image of Tigran the Great. In the video, he remarks, "This coin was minted around 95 BC and is on my desk in 2024. If you are Armenian (or just a history enthusiast), then you are aware of Tigran the Great and how, during his reign, the Kingdom of Armenia expanded and became the most powerful state in the eastern part of the Roman Republic. Although I am not naturally a collector, I had to buy this coin and show it to everyone."
Ohanian added that he is proud to be Armenian and feels a sense of joy every time he looks at the coin.
