Pezeshkian Plans to Relocate Iran's Capital
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has announced the launch of a plan to move the capital of the Republic during a government meeting. This was reported by the ISNA news agency.
"We want to continue bringing primary resources from the south. From the land and sea to the center, and transform them into products before exporting them. If we send them south, it will seriously devalue and diminish our competitiveness. We have no choice but to move the economic and political center of the country to the south and closer to the sea," said Pezeshkian.
According to Pezeshkian, failure to address this issue may result in future environmental problems.
