Lavrov on Handshake with Macron
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has commented on his handshake with French President Emmanuel Macron, stating that it is normal to greet acquaintances. “Principally, if people know each other, even if there are deep disagreements between their countries, it’s perfectly normal to greet each other when they meet in public,” Lavrov said during a press conference. “I think it is not normal when many European leaders avoid representatives from Russia when they see them in corridors, in the hallways,” he added.
