Abkhazia May Face Power Outages
The opposition's actions aimed at disrupting government operations could result in the population of Abkhazia facing power supply shortages in the near future. This was announced by Abkhaz President Aslan Bzhaniya.
As autumn approaches winter, everything must function normally, including educational and medical institutions and the state of the armed forces. The government is expected to resolve these issues. Given the circumstances we are currently in, where government buildings are occupied, it will be more challenging to address these concerns, and as a result of such actions, the population may soon be left without electricity,” the president stated.
According to the president, Abkhazia is currently experiencing four-hour power outages, and this schedule is expected to continue for now. “It will be very difficult to adhere to the schedule tomorrow under these conditions. Therefore, I once again urge my fellow citizens not to fall for provocations,” Bzhaniya emphasized.
