The Threat of Events Taking Such a Turn, Unfortunately, Exists: Lavrov
The threat of the resurgence of Nazism in the world exists as a result of the policies of the United States and its European allies, which exacerbate extreme radical traumatic sentiments. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during a press conference following talks with Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla.
In his opening remarks, the Russian minister sincerely thanked Havana for its collaboration in preserving historical memory and preventing and combating Nazism. “The threat of events taking such a turn, unfortunately, exists as a result of the policies of the United States and its European allies, who are trying to exacerbate nationalist extreme radical and outright neo-Nazi sentiments in every possible way, including in Ukraine, which they are using for the war against Russia,” Lavrov emphasized.
The Russian Foreign Minister also added that such sentiments can be found in some European Union countries, which, according to Brussels' statements, are “models of democracy.”
