Boeing Executes First Crewed Flight of Starliner Spacecraft

Boeing has conducted the first crewed flight of its Starliner spacecraft, initiating the final flight testing phase for the vehicle, whose launch had been delayed for an extended period. The launch took place at 17:52 Moscow time from Cape Canaveral, Florida, with two NASA astronauts on board.

The Starliner is being carried by United Launch Alliance's Atlas V rocket and is on its way to the International Space Station (ISS). Following a flight of over 10 minutes, both the rocket and capsule performed as expected, according to flight directors at the mission control center.

Boeing's crew flight tests aim to certify the Starliner system, which is designed to transport NASA astronauts to the ISS and back.
