EU Welcomes Armenia's Ratification of the Rome Statute: Josep Borrell
Josep Borrell, the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, has issued a statement welcoming Armenia's ratification of the Rome Statute.
"The European Union welcomes the ratification of the Rome Statute by the Armenian National Assembly on Tuesday. The decision will come into force after the President of Armenia signs it. The EU calls on all those states that have not yet done so to join the Rome Statute. Each accession to the Statute accelerates the universal engagement of the international community and strengthens the shared determination to end impunity and develop a culture of accountability," the statement reads.
