Will Peacekeepers Remain in Artsakh? Zakharova Responds to Erdogan
Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, has commented on Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's statement that Russian peacekeepers should leave the region by 2025.
"I want to remind that Ankara is not a part of the trilateral statement of November 9. This document clearly delineates both the issues of peacekeepers' presence and the bases for continuation over the next five years. Maintaining peace in the South Caucasus is in the interests of both Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as regional players, including Turkey," Zakharova stated.
