With the Start of the Swimming Season, the Ministry of Emergency Situations' Rescue Service has Transitioned to Enhanced Duty
The Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations and Director of the Rescue Service, Colonel Kamo Tsutsulyan, has ordered that from July 1 to August 31, the special water rescue unit of the Gegharkunik regional Rescue Department will conduct round-the-clock duty at the public beaches No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 of the ‘Sevan’ National Park to ensure the safety of holidaymakers.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations has reported that in order to carry out a safe holiday season and to organize the service properly, rescue checkpoints equipped with water rescue materials and necessary equipment will be deployed at the three public beaches of the ‘Sevan’ National Park.
To delineate safe swimming areas and watercraft zones, relevant signs have been installed on the beaches by rescuers, ensuring that citizens can swim more safely while always being under the supervision of rescuers.
Rescue teams will periodically patrol both public and adjacent private areas with motor boats to monitor compliance with safety rules for people and swimming devices. At the same time, information campaigns regarding behavioral norms will be conducted using loudspeakers.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations urges everyone to adhere to safety rules to avoid accidents.
