Negotiations for the Transfer of Fallen Defense Army Service Members' Bodies to Armenia Ongoing, Says Artsakh Prime Minister

Today, I participated in the funeral of Armen Abgaryan and Gagik Balayan, residents of the Gishi community in the Martuni region, who lost their lives as a result of the terrorist actions of the Azerbaijani armed forces during the night of June 27 to 28, 2023. I conveyed the condolences of the Artsakh authorities to the families of the fallen and to the people of Gishi. This was stated by the Artsakh Prime Minister Gurgen Nersisyan.

The government is continuing negotiations with the ICRC office in Stepanakert regarding the transfer of the bodies of Samvel Torosyan and Yervand Tadevosyan to Armenia at the request of their relatives.

The selflessness of A. Abgaryan, G. Balayan, S. Torosyan, and Y. Tadevosyan will not be forgotten, and their families will be under the care and protection of the state and society.
