Arayik Harutyunyan: "The name of one of the greatest villains in our history has been erased from the city map"

The head of the Armenian Prime Minister's office, Arayik Harutyunyan, stated on Facebook that the Yerevan City Council may not realize the significant work they have done. The name of one of the biggest villains in our history, Sarkis Kasyan, has been removed from the city map.

Starting today, we have a street named after one of our most prominent Catholicoses, Vazgen I. Congratulations to everyone!

P.S. In 2017, the Republican Party of Armenia had rejected the proposal to erase Kasyan’s name from our maps. The initiative for this change was put forward by the "Yelk" alliance.

Earlier, we reported that the Yerevan City Council plans to rename Kasyan Street in honor of Vazgen I.
