Aravikiri Former Community Leader Hovhannes Shahinyan Wanted by Police
The Police Department of the Republic of Armenia's Ministry of Internal Affairs has issued a wanted notice for 55-year-old Hovhannes Shahinyan, a former community leader of Aravikiri, who resides in Yerevan. This information was reported by Shamshyan.com.
The wanted notice has been issued based on Article 296, Part 3, Clause 3 of the Criminal Code of Armenia, which pertains to large-scale money laundering, punishable by imprisonment for 6 to 12 years.
Shahinyan denies the allegations and claims that he is being subjected to political persecution.
