The wedding of Adem Durmaz, son of Turkish businessman Nevzat Durmaz, and Sozdar Yagizer from the Van Ertosh family has etched itself in people's memories as one of the most lavish weddings in recent years. Local media reports that the wedding featured a staggering 6 million lira given in cash to the groom, alongside 4 kilograms of gold presented to the bride.
For the event, 100 livestock were sacrificed. Approximately 5,000 guests attended, traveling from various locations including Iran, Iraq, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany, Hakkari, Sirnak, Antalya, and Van.
