URGENT: National Assembly Strips Seyran Ohanyan of Immunity
The National Assembly of Armenia has stripped Seyran Ohanyan, the head of the "Armenia" faction, of his parliamentary immunity. Only the "Civil Contract" faction participated in the voting.
It is noteworthy that on February 7, the Prosecutor General of Armenia, Anna Vardapetyan, presented two motions to initiate public criminal proceedings against Seyran Ohanyan. The first motion concerned the sale of military unit territories. The second motion was classified and was discussed in a closed session. The third motion, relating to serious malpractices, was presented today.
