Putin Promised Not to Kill Zelensky: What Israel's Former Prime Minister Said
Israel's former Prime Minister has stated that Putin promised him not to kill Zelensky.
In an interview with Israel's Channel 12, Naftali Bennett, who led the country from 2021 to 2022, revealed that this issue was discussed with the Russian president when he visited Moscow in March 2022. In an interview published on his YouTube channel, Bennett said that after the start of the special operation in Ukraine, Zelensky asked him to establish contact with the Russian president.
According to Bennett, after the meeting with Putin, he called Zelensky, who was hiding in a bunker, and relayed the content of his discussion with the Russian leader. Upon learning of Putin's promise, Zelensky returned to his office and filmed a video there.
Bennett, who initially acted as a mediator between the Russian Federation and Ukraine at the start of the special operation, stated that negotiations were canceled by Western countries. He also added that all his actions were coordinated with the United States, Germany, and France.
